GOP Senate Leader Odds - 2026
The Republican Party is still celebrating, but there's a hotly-contested, secret-ballot vote happening Wednesday where the conclusion could draw the ire of some senators.
Senator Thune is widely regarded by Senate insiders as the frontrunner in the race, but the odds suggest it will be mega-MAGA supporter Rick Scott.
Thune's primary rival for the position, Texas' John Cornyn, is also on the board as a longshot.
The below odds from BetOnline.ag imply a 58.3% probability Scott will be voted in as the GOP Senate majority leader.
Next Republican Senate Majority Leader
Rick Scott 5/7 (-140)
John Thune 5/4 (+125)
John Cornyn 10/1 (+1000)
Scott's odds started at 7/1 way back on February 29. He moved to the favorite on May 22 with 1/2 odds, but then had gone back to an underdog on September 27 at 5/1.
